A breath of fresh air...

Many walks are available from Cargèse. Here are a few:

  • Puntiglione Trail (1 hour 30 minutes round trip – easy). Accessible from the road leading from the village center to the marina, this walk allows you to go around the point. You will discover the ruins of one of the Genoese towers. A great family activity with magnificent views of the sea and its different shades of blue.

  • Omigna Tower (2 hours 30 minutes round trip – easy). This walk takes you to the foot of the Genoese tower of Omigna, located on the seafront, and offers a view of the Sanguinaires Islands to the south and Capo Rosso to the north. This restored tower had sheltered the Greeks before their exile to Ajaccio.

  • The Revinda Copper Mine (5 hours round trip – medium difficulty). The route mainly follows the Tra Mare E Monti trail. The hike is mostly shaded in summer. You will reach the remains of the old Revinda mines.

  • Capo Rosso and its Genoese tower (Alt. 330m)

  • The Calanches de Piana, its color and sculpted rocks (Alt. 300m)
