A breath of fresh air...
There are many walks from Cargèse. Here are some of them:
- The Puntiglione path (1.5 hours round trip - easy). Accessible from the road leading from the centre of the village to the navy, this walk will take you around the point. You will discover the ruins of one of the Genoese towers. To be discovered with the family with magnificent views of the sea and its different shades of blue.
- Omigna Tower (2h30 round trip - easy). This walk takes you to the foot of the Genoese tower of Omigna, located on the seafront and offering you a view of the Sanguinaires Islands to the south and Capo Rosso to the north. This tower, restored, had sheltered the Greeks before their exile towards Ajaccio.
- The statue-menhir of U Scumunicatu (2h round trip - easy). Starting from the top of Cargèse, the Tra Mare E Monti trail will lead you to this prehistoric vestige, through the scrubland and passing by Paomia (place of arrival of the Greeks in Cargèse).
- The Revinda Copper Mine (5h round trip - medium difficulty). The route follows the Tra Mare E Monti for most of the way. The hike is rather well shaded in summer. You will reach the remains of the old Revinda mines.
