Beaches and water activities
A little swim...
- Chiuni beach : Located north of Cargèse, between the Genoese towers of Omigna and Orchinu, this fine sandy beach offers clear and shallow water, ideal for children ! Various activities are available and there is a straw hut for eating.
- The beach of Peru : Near the village and easily accessible, the water is crystal clear and the sand fine. Surrounded by 2 Genoese towers, it extends over 900m. You can eat in one of the straw huts or restaurants along the beach. Various nautical activities are also available.
- Menasina Beach: still wild and located south of Cargèse, you will find a small cove of fine sand with turquoise waters, which extends for 200 metres and offers a very nice view as far as the Cargèse navy. Parking is available at about 10 minutes walk.
- The beach of Capizzolu : south of Cargèse, is a very beautiful wild beach. Fine sand on 300m and surrounded by maquis, you will have to park nearby and reach the beach on foot along a path.
Because discovering Corsica from the sea means contemplating what nature has eroded with the wind and the waves, sailing in the most mysterious and wildest creeks, taking time along the water...
You will have the choice to go to sea with one of the companies of sea walks located on the Port of Cargèse and you will head towards Capo Rosso, Piana and its Calanches, Girolata and its small port and finally, Scandola and its natural reserve registered with the World Heritage of UNESCO.
You can also rent a boat (with or without a skipper) or a jet-ski to discover this wild coastline at your own pace, where many coves are hidden in the depths of steep cliffs, tinted with flamboyant colours.
